Kebaya

So, so busy, with a dozen posts buzzing in my head, but no time to write them right now. Until that time comes, an update on the kebaya. With it are the sarong and sash. An undergarment of considerable constriction completes the ensemble, but that remains off camera, as do I.

Back in July (the post is called 'Rabies' and I will make the link when I can) I mentioned that I would love to have a kebaya, the beautiful ceremonial blouse worn by Balinese women.

As luck would have it, shortly afterwards my friend Komeng was selling kebaya fabric. The piece I selected had been hand embroidered by Komeng's friend. Komeng then took me to her dressmaker, yet another friend.

Facebook has already seen these, but many of you won't have, so here are some pictures for the SATU record.
